It isn't worth it to me to continue to pursue but I can tell you that I'm done with Amazon.com. I sent a messageto the BlueSoleil website asking for assistance with no response.
That's not true. BlueSoleil website indicates this Bluetooth USB adapter works on a Mac OSx system.
Ended up with an installation error. The supplied software is not for a Mac and the online site does not have software to implement on a Mac.
In addition, I tried to load the supplied software on a PC and that didn't work. I paid about $11 for the device and about $5 forshippling.
If theydo business with rip off artists like BlueSoleil, I'm not going to take another chance ordering something else fromthem that doesn't work.100m Wireless Bluetooth USB Dongle for PDA/PC/cellphone
It's so nice when you find an inexpensive item that does exactly what you want it to do. I'm very happy with this adapter. It allowed me to add to DVI monitors to my PowerMac G5 video card.
This was the best price around, and the connections were, of course, bullet-proof. That meant getting this adapter, which is hard to find. I never thought I'd need one of these, but.My G4 Slate Mac is still running strong and has a 32mb video card with a VGA and a ADC connection.I wanted the best monitor image I could get for the money, so when I bought an Acer 20" monitor with DVI and VGA connector, I opted to use the DVI for optimum quality. Worked right out of the box at the highest resolution with no problems or settings to play with. Changing the video card was not an option. On this Mac, a new video card would cost more than the new monitor. I highly recommend this to anyone still squeezing the life out of their older Mac. The energy savings of using the LCD monitor alone will pay for this adapter.
This product is a pure gem. I have an Apple G4 Dual 1.25 ghz MDD with a ATI 9000-64MB card that has a DVI and ADC output. I have matching HP w1907 LCD monitors that I wanted to run off the Apple. No hassle or congifuration at all. Definately recommend this product.
I had a dilemma and this sort of cable was what I needed to solve it. After checking around, Belkin had the best price versus a similiar item from a main line Mac accessories retailer. And it worked like a charm. The user was very satisfied as she can now use her old LCD and her new one at the same time.
